Performed in Ely Cathedral was a glorious celebration of the special relationship between the UK and the USA.
In 2018, a massed choir of singers from across the United States filled Ely Cathedral on American Independence Day to perform a Celebration of Peace, an extraordinarily moving experience that commemorated 100 years since the end of World War 1.
They returned with another massive Thanksgiving Day concert, this time celebrating transatlantic concord. Singers from no fewer than seven choirs joined by Cambridgeshire’s own Prime Brass performed a mixture of cathedral classics and American and British folk songs, conducted once again by Craig Jessop, with Stan Engebretson, artistic director of the National Philharmonic Chorale.
